This letter was sent along with a remittance for rent on various properties. The letter is being sent to the owner (presumably) of some properties who lives in Wales. The letter also expresses doubt about the salability of the properties due to their poor condition. The sender, James Howard, also references the fact that there has been "considerable influenza here now, and many deaths". The "here" is assumed to be Omaha, NE, given the letterhead.
